Introduction

Chemistry is the systematic study of the composition, configuration, qualities and reactions of matter that is made up of atoms or subatomic particle and molecules.

Units

A unit is any average used for comparison in measurements. Unit change can be done once you know the unit conversion (e.g., millimeters to inches).

Why units are significant?

When unfolding a chemical reaction, units give an average measure to which we can refer.  Note we can guarantee proper linking between new data and the old data. For example, when we determine the amount of liquid in a jar we use its volume. The volume may be in centimeter cubed, millimeter cubed, and so on., and all of them may be transformed between one and the other.
