WHAT IS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE??

 

Domestic violence is a continuation of abusive behavior in any relationship that is used over a partner gaining power and control over the other intimate partner. Domestic violence can be either threats of actions or in other words, can be in patterns of coercive behavior. This includes behavior that intimidates, manipulates, humiliates, isolates, or even terrorizes the other partner (particularly in women) both physically and mentally.

 

                                    TYPES OF ABUSE

PHYSICAL ABUSE: This type of abuse not only includes hitting, slapping, punching, ridiculing, shoving or any types of continuous abusive behavior but it additionally includes denying a partner’s medical care or forcing alcohol/ drugs onto him/her.

 

SEXUAL ABUSE: This means that a masculine figure will attempt to either rape or force sexual behavior on a feminine figure. It also contains marital rape, attacks on sexual parts of the body, forcing sexual acts after physical violence has occurred, or treating one in a sexually demeaning manner.

 

EMOTIONAL ABUSE: This may include diminishing one’s abilities, shaming or name calling, bringing down one’s self-esteem and confidence, damaging one’s relationship with another individual.

 

ECONOMIC ABUSE: Controlling or restraining a person’s ability to maintain economic resources to which they are entitled. This is also a manipulation into holding an account of the person or any of their individual belongings.

 

 

PSYCHOLOGICAL ABUSE:

Threatening physical harm, to self, partner children or partner’s physical well-being, family or friends, this all includes the abuse of psychology. Psychological abuse is mostly occurring in violent behavior or actions. It is usually said that violence in psychology is when you are most likely to be traumatized every day not physically but mentally.

 

TECHNOLOGICAL ABUSE: Technological abuse is when you are being harassed, stalked, controlled, impersonated or exploited in various or many online websites. Technological abuse is known to be the most dangerous abuse for random people on any website who can keep a track of you, hack you or even find out where you are living. It is safe to make sure you don’t join any of the website sexual activities for it can put a danger in your life.

Domestic violence mostly affects or occurs to people who are under the age of 18 and above to the max of 34.

People who are involved in domestic violence are most likely to go against underage people or the young people because they think that we don’t have control or know what to do in a situation like this and that we are women.
