Title Blocks

Title Blocks are used to document all of the vital information essential for the working drawings.

A continuation title block is utilized for multiple‐sheet drawings and does not contain as much features as the title block found on the first sheet.

Title blocks should contain the following:

A) Name and address of the business or design work

B) Title of the Drawing

C) Drawing Number

D) Names and dates of the drafts men, checker, issue date, contract number, etc.

E) Design consent when subcontractors are utilized

F) Supplementary approval block

G) Main drawing scale

H) Drawing sheet size letter designation.

I) Real or estimated weight of the item

J) Sheet number if there are several sheets

K) Surface finish, hardness of material etc…
