The National Schools Calypso Competition returns next Friday, featuring 16 talented Calypsonians, supported by a star-studded line up.

The competition will take place on June 9, 2023, from 10 am for Infant / Primary Schools and 12pm for Secondary Schools, at the Vigie Multipurpose Sports Complex.  Tickets cost $10 for students and $20 for adults and can be purchased at schools, Steve Barber Shop and at the gate on competition day. Please see Flyer attached.

The competition will feature 16 participating schools, six at the Secondary School level and ten at the Primary level.  The ten Primary Schools competing in this year’s competition include:

Augier Combined,   Ave Maria Primary,   Canon Laurie Anglican infant,   Canon Laurie Anglican Primary,   Carmen Rene Memorial,   Gros Islet Primary,   Mongouge Combined,   Piaye Combined,   Reunion Combined, and   Saltibus Combined.

Six at the Secondary School level

Bocage Secondary, Castries Comprehensive,  Micoud Secondary,  Patricia D James Secondary,  Saint Mary’s College, and  Sir Ira Simmons Secondary.

We encourage you to come out to support your School, support your favourite Calypsonians, and to support your district as it promises to be a day filled with entertainment from Umpa, Sedale, Ezra D fun Machine, Shemmy J, Dezral , the Mighty Sizzla and Hollywood HP .
