The Sight
I see the hills stand like huge walls
As the banana trees paint them
Flamboyant flowers in gardens
Dance to the rhythm of the day
A hummingbird hovers around
Hunting for the honey-nectar
Lamp posts stand like strong policemen
Ready to guard the streets at nights
With their torchlights to give guidance
Along the road people patrol
And the vehicles passing by
It is a sight golden and clear
A gilt colour from high above
