The Loafer On The Beach
He lingered along the countless grains of sand
The bare-footed beachcomber that sweeps the land
Disfigured ships were wrecked along his shoreline
In the vicinity of a garbage dump
He listened to the chants of every wave
Whilst he salvaged the shore with garbage paved
His hand greeted every strayed article
Ran fingers through them like a hungry beast
He tried to gather needs before the angry wind
Before the disturbed crashing waves destroy his dream
Shells, stones and refuse like one family no more
He’ll return next day to earn a living again
