Taking Care
When you take your first two steps
I want to be there to guide
You along this challenging road
Like a swan taking care of its cygnet
Like a hawk taking care of its bowet
When you cry tears I’ll be there
To hold each tear in my hand
I want to be there all the time
Like a hare taking care of its leveret
Like an eagle taking care of its eaglet
Whenever you are hungry
I’ll be there to give you food
To satisfy all your hunger
Like a mare taking care of its filly
Like a dog taking care of its puppy
Whenever you are thirsty
I’ll be there to give water
To pacify your every thirst
Like a bird taking care of its nestling
Like a duck taking care of its duckling
When you need an umbrella
To protect you from the rain
I’ll always give it to you
During winter, summer, autumn or spring
Like a goose taking care of its gosling
Whenever you are in bed
So sick with your weary head
And you fail to just get up, yes
If you are sick your small chest I will rub
Like a lion taking care of its cub
Whenever you call my name
I will be there to listen
To every word you have to say
When in fear I will keep you just calm
Like a sheep taking care of its lamb
When the rain keeps you awake
At nights and you feel so cold
I’ll keep you warm with my body
Like a cat taking care of its kitten
Like a fowl taking care of its chicken
When your dreams turn to nightmares
And you scream my name for help
During the night I’ll watch over you
Like an owl taking care of its owlet
Like a hen taking care of its pullet
When your soft heart gets broken
I’ll be there to mend it back
And to always be on your side
Like an eel taking care of its elver
Like a cow taking care of its heifer
And when asthma attacks you
I want to give you fresh air
So we can grow old together
Like a whale taking care of its calf
I don’t want tears but to see you laugh
