The Old Man
You appear old and wan and so sleepy
Resting on the armchair you elderly
Dreaming of all the days that had gone by
Seeing all the tears within every cry
I loved all the times we spent together
Looking at you with love you old-timer
Remembering the seasons of your face
The coldness and merriment in your grace
Oh please sleep in the evening of your life
And with no one by your side, like a wife
You only dream of all the days gone by
Oh grandfather on this day please don’t die
