The Vagrant (Villanelle)
He crawled like darkness upon the land
His clothing as old as creation
This monstrous looking odorous man
In despair he stretched out his hand
Moulded in a world of depression
He crawled like darkness upon the land
The vagrant shivered in the stand
A prisoner of desolation
This monstrous looking odorous man
I wanted to understand
This stranger’s lamentation
He crawled like darkness upon the land
With no clue of his future’s plan
But next day was a day of affliction
For this monstrous looking odorous man
I served him food in a pan
To erase his tribulation
He crawled like darkness upon the land
This monstrous looking odorous man
