2. Sick-out; disapproval about pay or working conditions in which a group of workers at an organization declare they are sick and stay home on a particular day

3. Work-to-rule; a condition in which individuals at an organization decline to do any extra work as a sign of protest

4. Go slow; a disapproval by employees against an employer in which the employees work extremely slow hence decreasing productivity

5. Picketing; this is when a collection of persons stand, demonstrate or march in front of a work place to complain about something or to prevent persons from going in to work.

Methods used by employers during conflicts

Union busting

Union busting is the avoidance by administration of the creation of a trade union within its organization. The employer may openly declare this to employees or secretly put off its development.

Lock out

A lockout can be defined as the rejection by an employer to permit workers into the business place during an industrial disagreement. This is a way of persuading workers to meet the terms of management.

Scab labour

This is an offensive phrase used to refer to persons hired to substitute for workers on strike or protest.
