Waves Terms

Wavelength:  the space between corresponding points on two consecutive waves.

Wave pulse:  a particular interruption passing through a medium or field.

Transverse waves:  waves in which interruptions are perpendicular to direction of travel of waves.

Longitudinal waves:  waves in which direction of interruptions are the same as the direction of travel of waves.
