The Wall For The Sea
Behind you I can hear the swish and splash
The strong winds and turbulence
You are the wall moulded by man
Separating land from sea
You are the wall for the sea
Soundless houses squat near the water’s lips
Eavesdropping on the ocean’s quarrels
The shouting
Of the hissing waves
And sometimes the whispers
Of merciful undulations
Behind the wall for the sea
