The Night
The ruby sun has gone down in the west
The shadows finished stretch and now at rest
It was the moment for the silent stars
As they all stare from the limitless sky
Shine like sequins on a pitch-dark cushion
In every town commerce was motionless
Machines posed in idleness; so jobless
Silence was a choir or muted notes
Movement peacefully rest in dormancy
Except for the fireflies like comets
Silence not expressive like syllables
For stars beautiful like coral jewels
