The Coming of the Rain
The dark clouds crawl along the sky
Blocking the ball of fire from our eyes
Extinguishing the flame that guides the day
Soon we will see the lamentation of the heavens
The coming of the rain
The day is now the night
Embraced by a fog of darkness
Nature has gathered the light behind creeping clouds
Like the black hole in space collecting light
Is darkness the sign of heaven’s weeping?
The coming of the rain
A tear races to the ground
Exploding as it hits the earth’s flesh
Is this an omen?
A drop is like an atom of what is yet to come
A waterfall shooting from the sky
A fall of tears that will quench the earth’s thirst
That’s the coming of the rain
