Sleeping With The Enemy
My nights are like a cascade of horror
Sleeping in fear of a stifled horizon
By the hands of darkness upon my chest
And like a baby I am defenceless
Her shadow crawls upon like a jaguar
Her silence strangles every breath in me
I suffocate in a noiseless dungeon
I’m moulded into a suppressing sun
My bed is like a grave and I’m a stone
Soundless in stillness, I always take a rest
Hoping my last breath will not be tonight
Sleeping with the asthma as sad as night
