I thank you Lord for the waves early this morning

The beautiful white shores as the new day is dawning

 

The birds singing in the sky so sweet

The sunshine faces I often meet

 

I thank you Lord for always being by my side

To surf the waves of life and each colossal tide

 

I beg for you to stay

During this nice new day

 

I thank you Lord for all the sadness and strife

Besides all the hardship, I still have a good life

 

To chase all darkness away

To guide and show me the way

 

I thank you Lord for noon, as I continue to pray

Inviting you in my lovely life for you to stay

 

Stay throughout the ocean of my existence

And please dominate my world with your presence

 

I thank you Lord for the colourful setting sun

For the desolate shores and the birds sailing on

 

The approaching darkness

The nestlings in their nest

 

I thank you Lord as the cold wind blows across

On a deserted beach for I am not lost

 

I ask you gratefully, Lord Oh please

For strength, as I get on my knees
