Broken Hearted
“To break my heart, is to break it apart”
My heart inside was like a beautiful coastline
You moulded it, for your love was the sea
You gave my cardiac walls the perfect design
In joy your love touched my heart gently
But in sadness your affection as a rough wave
Devotion driven by an angry wind
Eroding my walls under which they were enslaved
For love like water on my heart splashing
My broken walls disappeared within each retreat
Into your reservoir of affection
All the strength of my towers destroyed bit by bit
Inside now a cliff and the beauty is gone
For your adoration was as cruel as death
Leaving me with wounds as deep as despair
And as cheerless as a grave is what I have left
A broken heart’s sediments far and near
“To break my heart, is to break it apart”
