A Poem On Limericks
Dee-dee-Dum dee-dee-Dum dee-dee-Dum
I’m moving to the beat of a drum
Just to make you laugh
Don’t think I’m a daft
For I just come to have lots of fun
There once was a man who was so old
Who always at night got very cold
For without a love
He tried out a dove
But failed, for warmth never took a hold
Dee-dee-Dum dee-dee-Dum dee-dee-Dum
I’m moving to the beat of a drum
Just to make you laugh
Don’t think I’m a daft
For I just come to have lots of fun
There once was a boy who was seven years
He looked up at the heavens in tears
Isn’t it lovely?
I wish it were me
To be like the heavens and Carebears
Dee-dee-Dum dee-dee-Dum dee-dee-Dum
I’m moving to the beat of a drum
Just to make you laugh
Don’t think I’m a daft
For I just come to have lots of fun
There lived a young boy who never cried
But only when his old father had died
He never dreamt that
Feelings in his heart
Was like a joke he wanted to hide
Dee-dee-Dum dee-dee-Dum dee-dee-Dum
I’m moving to the beat of a drum
Just to make you laugh
Don’t think I’m a daft
For I just come to have lots of fun
